Unique Historic Mountain Cabin In Beautiful Como
Our beautiful mountain cabin near Boreas pass has spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. We are located only 35 miles from Breckenridge and mere minutes to everything Park and Summit County has to offer. This single bedroom cabin also has a great loft with 2 single beds perfect for the kids. It also has a full kitchen, bath, and a cozy family room so you will feel right at home. We provide guide books, maps, games, WiFi, and local knowledge to make your vacation getaway a success.
The space
Our cabin in Como is only 35 miles from Breckenridge, 45 minutes to the hot springs in Buena Vista, and 20 minutes to 14’ers Mt Democrat, Lincoln, and Democrat. Local wildlife is abundant. We are outdoor enthusiasts friendly. We have traveled all over the world, mainly to areas with spectacular natural environments and have received great hospitality. We hope to provide travelers and vacationers with all of the things we value most in our accommodations when we travel. We have furnished the house with all the items we use regularly to support outdoor adventuring and make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Our house has ample room for you to spread out all of your gear and local guide books to help you plan for your next day’s adventure. To help after your day in the mountains, we have a high capacity washer & dryer and lots of hanging hooks to organize or dry out all of your gear. We are both avid adventures and can give suggestions on the area’s best climbs, skis, and hikes. The cabin has both propane heat and a great wood burning stove for your enjoyment. After your day exploring Summit and Park county you will enjoy our home’s open living space which invites togetherness and easy conversation.
Guest access
You will have the whole cabin to yourself and firewood is provided for your enjoyment. We generally can help with whatever comes up. We can also provide great local knowledge of activities, restaurants, etc. in the area. We have experience with downhill skiing, backcountry skiing, climbing, canyoning, hiking, rock climbing, biking, and most other outdoor activities in the area.
Other things to note
Pets are welcome but please plan on an additional $25 cleaning fee to cover costs of extra steps our cleaning staff must take to ensure the unit is clean for the next guests. Please let us know in advance if you plan on bringing your pet.
