The kitchen is well stocked and the walk down to Tarryall creek is steep but worth it. We caught several trout in the creek and enjoyed the wildlife from the deck - mule deer, beautiful birds including hummingbirds, bunnies, chipmunks and more. It was wonderful!

Curious as to what the downstairs will turn out to be when finished. Lots of supplies in the cabin even to spices in the kitchen cabinet. I would highly recommend this cabin - just know you are not close to anything..which can be a good thing. Loved going to Fairplay - good grocery store, touring the South Park museum, Ty’s Bait Shop, and Ellen’s Place to shoot pool in.

Also, even though the creek out back was great, it’s a trek down a steep hillside, likely not accessible for those who can’t get around easily.

We wish we could have walked to the stream to fish but had to drive as the drop was treacherous. Luckily the view made up for it. It was clean and plenty of space.   Stayed here for 3 nights with my fiancee, MIL, and sister-in-law. Such a beautiful space. We spent a ton of time on the porch reading and playing games on the... read more picnic table. Bedrooms were clean and cozy, bathrooms have bidets with heated seats...very nice. The kitchen was great because they had tons of staple foods/spices and lots of cookware, which was perfect for cooking a couple meals over our stay. There was a nice river access a 3 minute drive away, which was perfect for my MIL who has a walker and isn't extremely mobile. Overall one of my favorite stays in Colorado and I'd absolutely come back for a relaxing weekend in the mountains!
